Iran to organize show in Pakistan

Islamabad : Iran will hold an exhibition of its products in Pakistan in May this year with an aim to provide an opportunity to its businessmen to introduce their products in the Pakistani market, First Secretary of Embassy of Iran Islamabad Mohsin Pak Parvar says.

In a meeting with President Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) Muhammad Ijaz Abbasi, he said automobile sector in Iran was growing rapidly and Pakistan could collaborate with Iran in this sector for technical know-how and producing quality cars at low cost.

Parvar said that Iran could join hands with Pakistan in food processing, power plants, spare-parts and road construction equipment sectors.

Abbasi said the present volume of trade between the two countries was very low as compared to their existing potential. He said trade could be enhanced through regular exchange of business delegations and by holding trade exhibitions.

He said that there was a great scope of trade in sectors of rice, garments, sports and marble between the two countries. He invited Iranian business delegations to visit Pakistan for developing business linkages with the business community here. He said that Iranian businessmen could find tremendous opportunities to invest in different sectors in Pakistan.
