U.S. soldier killed by roadside bomb in Iraq

Baghdad : A U.S. soldier has died after being hit by a roadside bomb in Iraq’s restive Diyala province, the U.S. military said Sunday.

The soldier died on Saturday when the bomb detonated near his vehicle during an operation in the province northeast of Baghdad, the military said in a statement quoted by the Associated Press.
