Developer raises proposed capacity of Chhattisgarh power plant

New Delhi : Diversified private business enterprise Sarda Energy and Mineral Ltd has raised the envisaged capacity of its power plant in Chhattisgarh from 600 MW to 1,100 MW.

The company has signed a fresh memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the state government for this purpose, Sarda Energy said.

“The company has signed a MOU with the government of Chhattisgarh for installing a thermal power plant of 1,100 MW (capacity) in the state,” Sarda Energy informed the Bombay Stock Exchange Tuesday.

“This replaces the earlier MoU of 600 MW signed on Jan 10, 2007,” the company said.
