Chhabila Kumar was arrested for allegedly kidnapping the sisters – one 14 years, and the other 12 years of age – from New Delhi railway station Monday.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (southwest Delhi) Shalini Singh said the accused lured the elder sister on the pretext of marriage and took both of them to his elder sister’s house in Chappra, Bihar, with him last week. Chhabila also raped the elder sister there.

“During investigation Chhabila was found missing from his home. The police raided the possible hideouts of the accused on inputs by local intelligence,” Singh said.

“The accused was arrested after he returned to New Delhi Railway Station with the abducted girls,” she added.
