By Prensa Latina

Madrid : The government of Madrid has banned a demonstration sponsored by PDNE (National Democratic Party of Spain) against immigrants, considering it has an aggressive character, authorities reported Tuesday.

Madrid officials pointed out that the call for the demonstration programmed for January 20 also contains xenophobic and racist language that assails people’s dignity.

PDNE, in its request for permission for the protest, justifies the action with the rise of illegal and massive immigration to Madrid and the continuous increase of crime and insecurity registered recently.

The local government ban decreed that the PDNE call was aggressive and the demonstration might cause public disorders, with possible harm to people or property; recalling the PDNE march in November that resulted in the beating death of young anti-fascist Carlos Palomino.
