India take overall lead of 170 at stumps

Perth : Playing better all-round cricket, India took an overall lead of 170 runs by close of the second day of the third cricket Test against Australia at the Western Australian Cricket Association (WACA) ground here Thursday.

Replying to India’s first-innings’ 330, Australia were all out for 212 to concede a 118-run lead. India in their second innings made 52 for the loss of Wasim Jaffer’s wicket to take their overall lead to 170.

At close, Virender Sehwag was batting on 29 and night watchman Irfan Pathan was on two.
