Sana’a : Yemen Minister of Human Rights Huda al-Ban said the government has revised a large part of the Arab Pact on Human Rights and put proposals on some of its provisions to be submitted to the parliament for approval.
The daily althawra quoted on Sunday al-Ban as saying that implementation of the pact adopted by the Tunisia Arab Summit in 2004, proves the abide of Arab states by human rights.
Al-Ban pointed out the pact was extolled by the United Nations Higher Commission for Human Rights due to it meets with the international standards of human rights.
“Yemen will endorse the pact as the parliament approves it”, al-Ban said.
