Berlin : Secretary of Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Saeed Jalili, in a meeting with Head of EP Foreign Relations Committee Cyrus Velski, underlined necessity of expanding cooperation.
In the meeting, Velski appreciated Jalili’s speech in the European Parliament (EP) and said the high attention paid by the EP deputies to his speech came from their interest in Iran and the importance of Iran related issues.
Jalili, for his part, welcomed the opportunity given to him to talk face to face with EP representatives and added there was a good discussion in the meeting between Iranian delegation with members of EP foreign relations committee.
He expressed hope that with continuation of such meetings and more dialogue, an appropriate ground for expansion of bilateral ties can be provided.
Jalili, who is in Belgium upon the invitation of European Parliament, delivered a speech to the EP representatives and expounded on Iran’s position on different issues such as security and stability in the region, energy security and cooperation with Europe.
