Islamabad : At least 12 militants were killed in a missile attack in northwestern Pakistan’s tribal area Tuesday, local Dawn News channel reported.
The missile strike took place in Mir Ali tehsil of North Waziristan, bordering Afghanistan.
It was not clear who fired the missile, but local witnesses said the missile could possibly be fired from a mountain in Afghanistan.
The area was close to the Afghan region where US-led coalition forces are fighting against Taliban militants.
There is still no official confirmation about the attack.
