New Delhi : Indian and Kuwaiti officials continued their talks here Wednesday on strengthening cooperation in various areas ahead of the Joint Cooperation Committee meeting Thursday.
A report on the two-day official-level talks that started Tuesday would be presented at the meeting Thursday, which will be co-chaired by Minister of State for External Affairs E. Ahamed and Kuwaiti Finance Minister Mustafa Al-Shimali.
An external affairs ministry official said the four sub-committees looking after trade and investment, scientific matters, energy and education and other matters held meetings Wednesday.
“Discussions on two agreements for cooperation in health and science and technology took place, but the documents may not be signed this time,” he said.
During his stay here, the Kuwaiti minister is slated to meet Indian Finance Minister P. Chidambaram and Planning Commission Deputy Chairperson Montek Singh Ahluwalia. He is also likely to meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
