Gilani will meet with President Bush on July 28 to “discuss a broad range of issues of mutual interest and regional and international matters of common interest”, said Muhammad Sadiq ata press conference.

During the visit, the Pakistani Prime Minister will also meet with members from the U.S. Congress, business sector, media as well as the Pakistani-American community.

Other details for Gilani’s U.S. visit are being finalized, Sadiq said.

The visit, as part of the regular high-level exchanges between the two countries, would further deepen the multi-faceted cooperation between the two countries, the spokesman said.

This will be the first visit by a Pakistani prime minister to the United States after the formation of the new Pakistani government in March.

Gilani and Bush earlier met on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum on the Middle East at Sharm El-Sheikh in Egypt on May 18.
