Three girls injured in Afghanistan suicide blast

Kabul : Three minor girls were injured in a suicide attack in Afghanistan’s northern province of Kunduz on Sunday. The attack was carried out on a convoy of the provincial reconstruction team (PRT) led by German troops in Kunduz province this morning, police said. Chief of Kunduz police Brig. Gen. Abdur Rehman told KUNA that the bomber was riding a car. He detonated the vehicle near the military convoy in Char Dara district of the province. The police officer said one PRT vehicle was destroyed. However, a spokesman for German troops in the province said the attack was not carried out on German troops. Claiming responsibility for the blast, Taliban spokesman Zabeehullah Mujahid said 12 soldiers were killed and their four vehicles were destroyed.
