Lucknow : The Uttar Pradesh Madrassa Board will provide apprenticeships to the students enrolled with its mini Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) operating in several seminaries across the state, an official said Saturday.
“Like other educational institutes, now we would also provide apprenticeships to our students in different types of industries of the state. This will help the students in getting good jobs,” Board registrar Shoaib Ahmad told IANS.
“For this, we have entered an agreement with the state directorate of industries,” he added.
The state madrassa board runs about 140 mini ITIs, offering one-to-two-year programmes to over 6,000 students.
The mini ITIs were set up in 2006 under the madrassa vocational training scheme, officials added.
