New Delhi : Politicians in the national capital seem to have fallen in love with “undisclosed” destinations. With uncertainty and confusion in political circles over Tuesday’s trust vote, leaders do not want to hold their meetings at public locations or party offices.
After Samajwadi Party leaders Amar Singh and Ram Gopal Yadav chose an “undisclosed” destination to meet National Security Adviser M.K. Narayanan, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) leader Shibu Soren also preferred to stay in an undisclosed location.
Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi had an hour-long discussion with Amar Singh in yet another undisclosed destination.

Karat gets an ‘earful’ from Mayawati
Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) general secretary Prakash Karat may be known for his strict and dogmatic approach in his own party, but before Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati he was apparently like a student who still had a lot of lessons to learn in politics.
According to sources, Mayawati “scolded” Karat for sitting “coolly” after withdrawing support to the Congress-led government. Apparently it was Mayawati who advised the Communist leader to initiate moves to topple Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s government. Like a good student, Karat immediately got into action and started attempts to oust the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government.

Congress headache in south India!
Karnataka continues to be a headache for the Congress party. After it lost the assembly elections to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the party seems to be facing the highest number of defections from the state.
Although there were rumours about possible cross-voting by R.L. Jalappa and Tejaswini Gowda, both have turned up at 10 Janpath. But three others – A. Venkatesh Naik, M.H. Ambareesh and N.Y. Hanumanthappa – have not arrived for a parade before party president Sonia Gandhi.
Congress leaders swear that the trio would definitely vote in favour of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s government in the July 22 trust vote. But the opposition BJP claims that it has already wooed the Congress MPs, who were assured of seats in the next elections. The truth will come out only Tuesday.
