Algeria : Secretary-General of the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC) Abbas Ali Taqi made a visit to Algeria on Saturday, that is to last for two days.
In a statement, the Algerian Ministry of Energy and Mining said that its Minister Shakib Khalil is to meet the OAPEC Secretary-General.
Khalil, who holds the position of President of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), will discuss several key energy and oil-related issues with Taqi, as well as Arab forms of cooperation in the field.
OAPEC, established in 1968, comprises of 10 countries: Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Lybia, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait, which holds its headquarters.
The Arab oil organization aims to protect member interests, as well as organizing oil-related fields of cooperation between them.
