The discovery was made from the compound of an ancient Shiva temple in Dadora village in Etawah district, about 200 km from here.

“A four-wheeler was parked inside the temple compound last week. After it left, the soil caved in,” temple priest S.P. Dikshit told IANS.

A tunnel was discovered when people dug up the soil, leading to the idols. An Archaeological Society of India (ASI) team inspected the site Monday.
