New Delhi : Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL), India’s largest engineering and manufacturing enterprise in the infrastructure sector, announced Monday a 33 percent increase in its net profit in the first quarter of the current fiscal year over the comparable period of last year.
In a regulatory statement, BHEL announced that its net profit has increased to Rs.3.84 billion for the quarter ended June 30, up from Rs.2.88 billion for the comparable period of the previous fiscal.
Similarly, total income too has increased by 34 percent to Rs.46.2 million in the current year’s first quarter up from Rs.34.4 million in the comparable period of the previous year, the statement said.
