PM ‘100 percent’ confident on winning floor trust

New Delhi : A cool and confident Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said he is “100 percent sure” that the United Progressive Alliance government was going to win Tuesday’s crucial floor test.

“We are 100 percent sure that we are going to win,” he told journalists after coming out of parliament.

Looking composed, the prime minister voluntarily stood aside to talk to journalists.

He appeared particularly happy with External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee’s speech, including the criticism of the Left parties for taking sides with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

“Did you hear? Pranab Mukherjee gave such an excellent speech,” he said.

After Mukherjee ended his speech, an elated prime minister shook his hand.
