Ranchi : At least six people were injured when a bomb exploded at a bus stand in Jharkhand’s Godda district early Sunday, police said.
The low intensity bomb blast took place at around 6 a.m. at the bus stand. The wounded have been admitted to the Sadar Hospital in Godda town, a police official told IANS over telephone from Godda, about 500 km from Ranchi.
“It seems the bomb was kept in a bag. The intensity of the explosion was low and that is why no deaths have been reported,” the official said.
Police have initially ruled out the involvement of any terrorist group.
