Jammu : Accusing the state government of adopting “discriminatory policies’ towards the areas inhabited Shia community in Poonch district, Shia Federation Jammu has demanded suitable package for improvement of living conditions of Shia community members in Poonch district.
As per a press statement, the president of the Federation Ashiq Hussain Khan demanded allotment of land for the construction of graveyard, water hand pump for Imam Bada Mendhar, replacement of 55 KV electric transformers with 60 KV near Imam Bada, allopathic dispensary for Mohalla Saidaan and regular water supply for Mouri Gursai.
He said that the residents of Relal Mohalla Saidaan, Chotay shah Mohalla Saidaan, Banala Mohalla Saidaan, Salva, Chaper Dhara Saidaan, Morhi Gursai, Chattaba, and Pathana Peer Mohalla Saidaan have been ignored by the government and they lack even basic facilities.
Ashiq Hussian khan also demanded construction of Park near Imambada and opening of Anganwari centers and Health centers besides installation of Hand pumps in these villages.
He also expressed concern over the dilapidated condition of the roads in district Poonch and demanded that roads connected important places should be improved at the earliest. (NAK)
