Gaza : A Palestinian militant was killed and two others were injured in an Israeli ground attack in eastern Gaza Strip late on Saturday.
According to witnesses, an Israeli tank fired several shells toward a group of Palestinian militants who were stationed in the eastern sector of the strip, killing one and injured many others.
The attack took place in Al-Shujaiya district, close to the Palestinian-Israeli border, causing damage to nearby houses.
Palestinian medical sources identified the victim as Bilal Al-Sherbasi, 25, a resident of Al-Shujaiya. His disfigured body was admitted to Al-Shifa Hospital.
Meanwhile, the Israeli Army spokesman said land forces, deployed on the northern borders with Gaza Strip, spotted a militant who was trying to plant an improvised explosive device (IED) near the fence and shot him dead immediately.
