Tel Aviv : Israel and Egypt suggested to negotiate a truce with the Islamic Resistance (Hamas) Monday despites opposed declarations to agree terms for a truce over Gaza Strip.
Tel Aviv position is interpreted as postponement of a military action of great magnitude against Gaza that puts in Hamas hands the responsibility to stop Al Kassam rockets attack from the bordering territory.
According to the information Israeli general Amos Gilad will arrive in this Egyptian capital to meet government officials.
The Israeli public radio added that Gilad will meet Egypt Intelligence Service boss Omer Suleiman who will negotiates contacts between the two parts to give way to prisoners’ exchange.
Shortly before the information was spread Tel Aviv could opted for an offensive against Gaza, controlled by Islamic Resistance since June.
Nevertheless, Israeli soldiers killed two Palestinian militiamen in the border sector of Gaza Strip during an alleged armed confrontation.
The Maariv Israeli newspaper noted that the security cabinet gave two weeks terms to achieve the truce but if it is not fruitful and rocket launching persist the army will be free to attack.
