By Xinhua,
Islamabad : Suspected militants have blown up an English medium girls’ school in Pakistan’s North-West Frontier Province, the News Network International (NNI) news agency reported Friday.
The police said a bomb exploded at a Girls Model School Thursday night in a village, some 200 km from the provincial capital of Peshawar.
The blast damaged the building, the report said.
The police said some unidentified people had distributed leaflets in the village a few days ago, asking parents not to send their daughters to that school as it was giving English education.
The guard of the school said he was asleep when the blast took place. The school remained closed Friday due to the explosion.
