Poonch : Preparations for the forth coming celebrations of Shri Budda Amarnath Yatra were discussed in a meeting held at Dak Bunglow, here today.
The meeting was attended by senior officers of civil and police departments under the chairmanship of deputy commissioner Poonch B D Sharma.
Arrangements being made by the departments for the smooth and peace-full conduct of the Yatra which will commence from August 5 were discussed in length and police and civil departments were asked to coordinate with each other.
The officers who were representing various departments were asked to finalize the works if necessary for smooth and peace-full Yatra and the representatives of the departments coming under essential services including PHE, R&B and PDD assured full support during the Yatra period.
Besides others MLA poonch Jahangir Mir, SSP Jagjeet Kumar, Executive engineers of PWD, PHE and Irrigation &FC Tehsildar Haveli and others were present in the meeting.
