Every political party has used sentiments of Muslims in elections as a tool to come to power. Their problems in the state, on the other hand, have continued mounting.

No initiative has been taken so far to implement Urdu as the second official language in the state despite issuing notification regarding this by the previous government. The process of appointment of 4401 Urdu teachers has not been started till now although the state cabinet has already approved it. State Haj Committee is overwhelmed with controversies. The story does not end here.

The demands of constitution of Urdu Academy, Wakf board, minority financial corporation and Madrasa Board have not yet been met. Constitution of Minority Commission and committee for 15-point programme is yet to take place.

Political parties have always promised to solve the problems of Muslims only to forget their promise after winning elections. Muslims of the state have resentment against the politicians, particularly secular party leaders.

Sensing the angry mood of the community and also to retain its receding Muslim vote, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has decided to organise ‘Nayaye March’ on 21st June.

This is the first time when a party, which claims to be secular, is resorting to street especially for Muslim issues. Gautam Sagar, state president of RJD, said the rally is not going to be organised to save Muslim vote bank of the party. Rather, it is being organised so that Madhu Kora, Chief Minister of Jharkhand, can become serious and basic problems of Muslims can get solved.

It is to be seen that how much this ‘Nayaye March’ will be affective to ensure justice to Muslims.
