Kuwait : Kuwaiti Minister of Interior Sheikh Jaber Al-Khalid Al-Sabah has issued a decree to open the door for the first batch of cadets of its Police Women Institute.
The decree constitutes a landmark move in the history of the Kuwait police force, director-general of Saad Al-Abdullah Academy for Security Science Youssef Al-Madhahka told reporters here Monday.
“This is a qualitative move in supporting and rehabilitating the human resources of the Interior Ministry so that they could meet all security needs.
“Undersecretary of the Interior Ministry Lt-Gen Ahmad Al-Rujaib is tasked to follow up the enactment of the decree,” Al-Madhahka pointed out.
“Female students who passed the high school exams can apply for study in the institute as from Sunday, June 29.
“Graduates will hold bachelor degree in police science and serve as security supervisors under the Amiri Decree No. 221 for 2001,” he said.
The institute will also receive applicants for a two-year course the graduates of which will serve as security assistants, he added.
