President’s maiden 4-day visit to MP from Friday

Bhopal: President of India Mrs. Pratibha Patil is arriving on a four-day maiden visit to Madhya Pradesh on Friday (June 27). She would take part in various functions to be held in Indore, Ujjain, Bhopal and Gwalior.

The President would arrive to Indore at 6.10 pm from Mumbai on June 27. She would dedicate to nation Choithram Netralaya at 6.30 pm at Indore.

On June 28, she would proceed to Ujjain at 9 am where she would perform pooja at Mahakaleshwar Temple and return to Indore at 1.20 pm The President would then participate in Madhya Bharat Hindi Sahitya Sammelan at 7.30 pm and grace a function of Paraspar Cooperative Bank at 8.30 pm.

According to an official release as per the new schedule, the President will reach Bhopal at 0930 hours on 29th June, 2008, instead of 28th June as decided earlier, the release said.

In Bhopal, Patil will be inaugurating the Administrative and Academic Block of Madhya Pradesh Bhoj (Open) University. She will also be participating in a function of People’s Group of Educational Institution.

In addition to her earlier programmes, the President, on 29th June, will launch Madhya Pradesh Government’s ambitious programme ‘Usha Kiran Yojana’ and would also release a booklet based on the scheme.

She would leave here for Gwalior at 9.30 am on June 30. She would grace the Golden Jubilee function of Madhav Institute of Technology and Science at 11 am there. She would leave Gwalior for New Delhi at 2.40 pm the same day. ([email protected])
