Karzai condemns killing of Afghan nationals by Pakistani Taliban

Kabul : Afghan President Hamid Karzai has strongly condemned the killing of two Afghan nationals by Taliban militants in the tribal areas of Pakistan.

A statement from Karzai’s office, released on Sunday, said the act was barbaric and against Islam. The Afghan leader conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the families and friends of the two slain Afghans.

Two Afghan nationals, one aged 25 and the other 36, were executed in public by Pakistani Taliban in Damadola area of the Bajaur tribal agency on Saturday. Damadola was scene of an attack by the NATO forces stationed in Afghanistan some time back.

The Pakistani Taliban claimed the slain Afghans were involved in providing secret information about them to the US Army and the Afghan Government.
