Jammu : Three persons, including two children, were killed when suspected militants hurled a grenade at the house of a village defence committee member in Soli Top, a hilly and remote village in Reasi district, late Thursday night.
Police said that militants hurled a grenade at the house of Mushtaq Ahmad, who is a volunteer with the village defence committee (VDC) – a force of village volunteers constituted to defend the village against terror attacks – around 9.30 p.m. Thursday.
Three persons, including two children, were killed on the spot, while Mushtaq received splinter injuries.
