Dubai : Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance has held talks with visiting Mauritanian President Sidi Ould Sheikh Abdullahi on ways of enhancing bilateral relations in the sectors of investment, trade and economy.
The Mauritanian president is leading a high-level trade and economic delegation.
Sheikh Hamdan and the Mauritanian head of state stressed the importance of encouraging UAE investment in Mauritania which can serve as a trade and industrial hub and gateway to neighbouring countries.
Sheikh Hamdan hoped Abdullahi’s visit would boost Emirati-Mauritanian trade and economic cooperation and instructed UAE competent authorities to remove obstacles hindering progress of that cooperation.
The Mauritanian side gave a presentation about investment potentials and opportunities and ongoing efforts to provide good investment environment to attract foreign capital.
