“We will stick to the three principle, namely prohibition, testing and punishment,” Cui said at a press conference on the sidelines of the annual session of China’s top political advisory body.

Last year, more than 10,000 samples were tested for doping and severe punishment was imposed on the individual offenders.

China’s anti-doping work has gained international recognition, Cui said quoting former president of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) Dick Pound who visited the country last year.

China launched its anti-doping agency including a world-level laboratory serving at the Olympic Games in November last year.
