UAE’s investment in Sudan touches $7 bn

Dubai : The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is the second largest investor in Sudan after China with a total investment of $7 billion, according to Sudanese President Omar Hassan al Beshir, WAM news agency reported Wednesday.

Al Beshir said his country provided an attractive area for Arab and foreign investment that would help the country achieve overall development.

Al Beshir said his visit to the UAE, on an invitation of UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan had given a big bigger boost to bilateral political and economic relations.

He added that his talks with the UAE leaders covered wide-ranging issues including Iraq, Palestine, Lebanon as well as latest political developments in Sudan.
