Lucknow : The Uttar Pradesh government Wednesday lifted a ban on recruitment, giving way to nearly 100,000 jobs in various departments in the state.
Making this announcement here, Chief Minister Mayawati said, “The ban on recruitment had been imposed by previous governments; but we have decided to lift the ban because of the shortfall in the staff of several departments and organizations.”
The chief minister has directed the cabinet secretary and chief secretary to issue necessary directives to all departments and organization to fill up their pending vacancies.
Directives have also been issued to fill up the reserved promotional quota in various departments.
