Srinagar : Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chief Mehbooba Mufti will pay her first visit to Pakistan when she goes to Islamabad later this month to attend a two-day Pugwash conference on “regional stability”.
Mufti, an MP, is scheduled to arrive in Islamabad March 27 to attend the conclave.
“The proposed conclave would discuss problems of regional stability and initiatives that should be taken to promote peace and cooperation in the region and make recommendations to their respective governments in this regard”, a PDP spokesman in a statement here said.
The spokesman said: “Focus of Mehbooba’s presentation at the conference would be ‘Prospects for Kashmir in Indo-Pak relations'”.
“She would give a detailed presentation of the party’s self-rule proposals at the conference.”
The PDP president would be meeting a cross section of people and activists during her stay in Islamabad.
