Israeli army detains 14 Palestinians in W. Bank, Gaza

Gaza : Palestinian and Israeli security sources said that the Israeli army forces detained early on Wednesday morning 14 Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza, saying they are wanted by Israel.

Witnesses said several Israeli army tanks and bulldozers stormed the northern Gaza Strip town of Beit Hanoun early on Wednesday and detained seven civilians, residents of the town.

A Hamas security source confirmed that an Israeli army bulldozer has partially demolished a house in the town before detaining seven people from their homes, adding that the force pulled out after detaining the seven civilians.

The town of Beit Hanoun in northern Gaza Strip, which is only three kilometers far from the southern Israeli town of Sderout, has been a stage of launching homemade rockets at the Israeli towns.

Meanwhile, in the West Bank, Israeli security sources were quoted by Arabic service of Israeli Radio as saying that the Israeli army arrested seven Palestinian wanted in the towns of Nablus and Jenin.

Residents said the Israeli soldiers raided several homes in the two towns, detained seven Palestinian young men, and took them for questioning.
