New Delhi : The Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations, Dr. Asha-Rose Migiro, has congratulated the new government of Pakistan headed by Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani.
“We wish the new government all success,” she told reporters at a Pakistan Day reception.
Asked about premier Gillani’s plans to seek U.N. investigation into the assassination of PPP leader Benazir Bhutto, Ms. Migiro said the U.N. would consider it when a formal request was made.
