Islamabad : The forty passengers of a Pak-Afghan bus, taken hostage Wednesday morning, were released after successful negotiations with a tribal Jirga, said officials.
The Pak-Afghan Friendship bus carrying 40 passengers was coming from Afghanistan when unknown kidnappers captured it and took passengers as hostages, security officials told KUNA.
They said the kidnappers had demanded release of their relatives, detained by Afghan authorities.
After the Jirga members assured them that they will raise up the issue with Afghan authorities, said officials, all hostages were released.
