New Delhi : India’s Arvind Bhatt was stunned by qualifier Ville Lang of Finland in the second round of the 32nd Yonex Polish International badminton championships at Warsaw, Poland.
Lang dumped seventh seed Arvind 21-17, 21-13 in 31 minutes to advance to the quarterfinal of the championship Friday night.
With Arvind’s ouster India’s challenge ended in the tournament as the women’s doubles pair of Jwala Gutta and Shruti Kurian, seeded fourth, had withdrawn from their second round match against Canadian pair of Fiona Mckee and Charmaine Reid.
