New Delhi : The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Saturday accused the Congress-led central government of discriminating against states its member parties rule.
fter a meeting of the NDA chief ministers and other leaders of the alliance at the residence of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader L.K. Advani here, NDA coordinator Sushma Swaraj came up with a 10-point charter of “discrimination”.
She said the charter was drawn up on the basis of complaints from the NDA chief ministers.
The chief ministers alleged that the central government was starving their states of electricity.
The central government was also dithering over the construction of six new All India Institutes of Medical Sciences, which were proposed by Sushma Swaraj when she was the health minister in the NDA government.
“Our electoral strategy is to raise these issues at all levels,” she said. “Inflation at 6.68 percent is a major concern. The government has failed to contain inflation.”
