Riyadh : Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Saud Al-Faisal announced yesterday that Islamic scholars will soon meet to discuss Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz’s initiative of Inter-Faith Dialogue. The Prince said at a press conference that representatives of the three monotheistic religions (Islam, Christianity and Judaism) will participate in the inter-Faith dialogues that follow the meeting, in response to King Abdullah’s initiative. “Once the study to implement the King’s proposal is completed by Muslim Ulema, it will be the role for other faiths to respond to such an initiative,” he said.
King Abdullah has recently underlined the need of an Inter-Faith Dialogue that aims at bringing harmony and peace among the people of various faiths and alleviate religious and sectarian violence that has cost millions of innocent lives in many of the world’s hot spots.
