The toll might increase as rescue operation had to be suspended at night due to darkness, a worker told the private television channel ATN Monday.

The worker said the explosion occurred with a loud bang after Sunday midnight. He said he heard sounds of three explosions that plunged the factory into complete darkness, hampering the rescue operation.

Fire Service rescuers have found three bodies and rescued 15 wounded workers who were sent to different hospitals and clinics for treatment.

The worker said the factory was reopened two months ago after a long closure. Its machines were very old and defective.
