Mo’aweya Hassanein, chief of emergency and ambulance services in the Palestinian health ministry told reporters that one Palestinian was killed and three wounded in the Israeli air raid on Rafah town in southern Gaza Strip.

An Israeli army spokesman said the Israeli air forces struck on Wednesday afternoon a building that is used by Hamas movement to store weapons in the southern Gaza Strip town of Rafah.

Earlier Wednesday, representatives of six Palestinian militant groups, who are currently in Egypt, announced that they had accepted a truce initiative prepared by both Egypt and Hamas movement.

The truce proposal, which would be presented next week to Israel by Egypt, calls on Israel to end its military operations in the Gaza Strip, and an end of more than ten months blockade imposed on the enclave.

The truce, which calls on Gaza militant groups to halt launching attacks, mainly homemade rockets at Israel, called on Israel to reopen all border crossing points, including Rafah on the border between Gaza and Egypt.

After the announcement, three militant groups claimed responsibility for launching homemade rockets from northern Gaza Strip at southern Israel. No injuries or damages were reported.
