New Delhi : President Pratibha Patil Monday will give away the Padma Awards, 2008 to 135 people whose names were declared earlier this year.
The list includes 13 Padma Vibhushan awardees, 35 Padma Bhushan awardees and 71 Padma Shri winners.
Some of the Padma Vibhushan winners include Asha Bhosle (Art), external affairs minister Pranab Mukherjee (public affairs), E. Sreedharan (public work) and Rajendra Kumar Pachauri (science and engineering).
Edmund Hillary (posthumous), Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar, Viswanathan Anand (sports), Lakshmi Narayan Mittal, N.R. Narayana Murthy, P.R.S. Oberoi, and Ratan Naval Tata (all four for trade and industry) will also be awarded.
Barkha Dutt, Rajdeep Dilip Sardesai and Vinod Dua will get Padma Shri for journalism.
The award ceremony will take place at the Rashtrapati Bhawan Monday evening.
