Gaza : Five Palestinian missiles were fired on Monday from Gaza Strip targeting several areas in southern Israel, the Israeli Army said in a statement.
The army spokesman told a local radio that one of the missiles landed in an area near the demarcation line of Gaza Strip, destroying a car and causing damage. No casualities were reported.
He said four other missiles exploded in several areas in southern Israel. Two targeted the Israeli settlement of Sderot.
Palestinian factions claimed responsibility for the attack, noting that it was in retaliation for escalatory Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people. Meanwhile, Israeli F-16 fighter jets intensively roared over Gaza Strip early this morning.
Local radios cautioned the Palestinian citizens and activists from a possible Israeli air strike.
