Rome : Italy has earmarked 123,000 euros in emergency aid to help victims of the deadly cyclone that swept Myanamar.
The foreign ministry said in a statement released on Tuesday that Rome responded to appeals by international agencies to help the country cope with the fatal catastrophe.
The Italian aid will cover clothes, mattresses and other urgent aid to 2, 000 stricken families, in addition to drinking water. The cyclone has claimed 15,000 lives.
