Islamabad : Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf Wednesday said that Pakistans armed forces were equipped with latest weapon systems, with high operational preparedness to make countrys defence impregnable. Addressing a gathering of military officers, the President said that the operational preparedness of countrys armed forces was the best in the world and defence of the country was in safe hands.
Associate Press of Pakistan (APP) quoted the President as saying that Pakistan was a peaceful country but a strong defensive line was a sine qua non for the attainment of peace.
He said there was always room for enhancement of training and the level of operational preparedness of countrys armed forces.
Emphasizing the need for having a strong economic base of, the President said security of the country was directly associated with its economic development and progress.
