Manila : Police say a homemade bomb has exploded near a passenger van in the southern Philippines, according to AP.
At least three people were killed and 10 were wounded. Town police chief Superintendent Chino Mamburam says the bomb in Midsayap township in North Cotabato province seemed to have been detonated remotely using a cell phone.
Army Col. Pedro Soria says troops had secured the area Thursday and were looking for clues that may lead to suspects. The area is a target of extortion gangs.
