Kuala Lumpur : The Malaysian Association of Tours and Travel Agents (MATTA) will hold a one-day conference to create a better understanding and promote the benefits of Muslim tourism.
The International Conference On Muslim Tourism, Hajj and Umrah Packages 2008 (InComTHU ’08), to be held on May 22 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre here, is the first of its kind in Malaysia and second in the world.
It aims to present the latest updates and challenges in managing Hajj and Umrah pilgrimage.
According to InComTHU president Zainal Abidin Ahmad, the conference would discuss business opportunities and share knowledge and experience in catering for the Muslim tourists.
The event would be officiated by Tourism Minister Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said.
Zainal Abidin said speakers from Syria, Indonesia and Singapore would be making an appearance alongside Malaysian experts to share their experience on the Muslim tourism industry and in providing best services to the Muslim tourists’ needs.
The theme of the conference is “Striving For Excellence And Glory in Muslim Travel and Tourism”
