Riyadh : The Kuwait-based Gulf Investment Corporation (GIC) has announced its interest to invest in Yemen in partnership with a group of Gulf companies.
“The corporation is currently studying available opportunities in Yemen for carrying out joint gulf investments in the country,” said GIC’s deputy chairman of improving business Malek al-Ugail in a press conference held by the corporation on Wednesday here on the occasion of establishing the Gulf Fund.
“The corporation will soon make studies on possible investments in Yemen with partnership of a number of Gulf investment companies,” he added.
He said that the GIC is looking forward to have investments in Yemen for there are promising investment opportunities and attractive privileges Yemeni investment law provides to investors.
He reviewed achievements of the corporation in its investments in GCC countries and a number of countries in the world as well as future plans.
