Ahmedabad : At least 12 people were killed and four injured when a truck carrying them overturned at Gambira near Anand city at 4 a.m. Saturday, said the police.
Five people have been admitted to Sir Sayajirao General Hospital at Vadodara with serious injuries.
“All the victims were labourers from Rajvir taluka of Nandarbar district of Maharashtra,” Sub-Inspector V.N. Patel told IANS on phone. The truck was carrying 17 people and was on its way to Valbhipur in Saurashtra when the mishap occurred.
